This basic electrical engineering course is a common
course in the first-year branch of study. At the end of the course,
students should understand the basic knowledge of electrical engineering
and the practical application of basic theoretical concepts.

Basic Laws: Ohm’s law, Nodes-Branches and loops, Series elements and Voltage Division,Kirchhoff’s voltage and current laws, Parallel elements and Current Division, Star-Delta transformation, source transformation.Independent sources and Dependent sources.
2.AC Fundamentals
AC Fundamentals: Reviews of Complex Algebra, Sinusoids, phasors, Phasor Relations of circuit elements, Impedance and admittance, Impedance Combinations,RMS and average values, Form factors, Steady state Analysis of series, Parallel and Series Parallel combination of R,L,C with Sinusoidal excitation, Instantaneous power, Real power.
3.Network Theorems and Resonance
Network Theorems and Resonance :Superposition theorem, Reciprocity theorem, Resonance in Electrical circuits: Analysis of series and parallel Resonance ,Thevenin’s theorem, Norton’s theorem, Maximum Power Transfer Theorem.
4.Fundamentals of electrical machinery
Fundamentals of electrical machinery: construction, principle, operation and application of (i) a single-phase transformer (ii) a single-phase induction motor (iii) a DC motor.
